Boplaas small batch single grain Whisky aged in old bourbon casks and finished in old Rum casks – a medium bodied Whisky that most palates will enjoy.
This is a whisky for savouring. The multi-layered nose shows a fruitcake nose tinged with winter spices, most notably cloves and cardamom, charred oak and leather.
Tasting notes
The palate is bold, rounded and viscous, with a pleasant balance of candied apple sweetness, raisins, warm guava notes and oak spice that lingers. The glorious finish is big and building with a touch of soft vanilla sweetness.
Serving suggestions
Enjoy it neat at 15˚ C-17 ˚ C, with a block of ice and/or a splash of cool spring water.
